House # 11
Creighton University has for many years been a supporter of Stroud Habitat for Humanity (HfH). Students have come to Stroud twice a year, in the spring and fall during their breaks from classes to aid Stroud HfH in building the homes and futures for our partner families. For most of the students this is the first time to perform the work that is necessary to plan, layout, build and construct a house. The students always accomplish these tasks with great pride and exceptional craftsmanship. The homes these students help build are of high quality construction and make a huge difference in the lives of the families who receive them.
Creighton students have always amazed us with their willingness to give of theirself so that others could benefit. They demonstrate, not only their willingness to build homes, but their compassion for the families they help. The students build a lasting relationship with the homeowners and sponsors, often returning for the duration of their time at Creighton. The students continue to be a part of the lives of those they touched while in Stroud and stay in contact through letters, phone calls, emails and visits when they are in the area. This program has truly been a blessing to Stroud as well as the Students at Creighton.
